I can’t say enough good things about working with Dave. The progress I’m finally making is improving my life in ways that I was beginning to think was never going to happen.”
– Client review
Welcome to my practice! As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience and additionally holding certification in the Gottman Method, I’m deeply committed to helping you navigate your personal or relationship challenges.
Are you currently accepting new clients?
Yes. Both individuals and couples can be seen (ages 18 and older).
Do you provide in-person appointments?
Yes! My office is located on the corner of Willamette Street and West 24th Ave in Eugene, Oregon. I am committed to keeping this a COVID-conscious office, using HEPA filtration, outside fresh air exchange and social distancing. The address is 2440 Willamette Street, Suite 101C. On-site parking is available.
What about virtual (telehealth) appointments?
I also offer virtual sessions via Zoom. Surprisingly, many of my Eugene clients still prefer teletherapy as this saves them driving time. My practice works with clients from elsewhere as well, most notably Portland and Arizona.
Can my partner and I be in different locations?
Yes. Zoom allows us to combine video signals so that both you and your spouse/partner can attend the session without being in the same location.
Can you bill my insurance?
The majority of my clients are private pay. However, I am able to bill PacificSource Health Plans and First Choice Health Network PPO. For all other insurance companies, I can provide a specialized billing statement that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement using your out-of-network benefits.
How long does therapy take?
Sessions are generally 50-60 minutes. How many sessions you’ll need depends on your goals. My preference is to help you feel better in the shortest amount of time possible. On average, my clients attend therapy for a few weeks to a few months.
What If I’m Not Sure We’re a Good Fit?
I offer an initial brief 20-minute consultation for all new potential clients. This gives us a chance to get to know each other and to see if we’re a good fit. Here’s what you can expect:
- I’ll ask you about why you’re seeking therapy.
- I’ll tell you a bit about myself and my approach as a therapist.
- We’ll talk about rates, insurance, availability, treatment methods, etc.
- You can ask me any questions that I didn’t cover.
