Are you accepting new clients for therapy?
Yes. I’m currently accepting new clients for couples therapy and individual therapy in Oregon and Arizona for adults, ages 20 and older. Relationship and life coaching is also available worldwide.
What are your rates?
Appointments start at $200. Many of my clients prefer regular scheduling or integrating Gottman workshop training into their one-on-one sessions, which we can discuss if that is of interest to you.
Do you accept insurance?
I am in-network with PacificSource Health Plans and PacificSource/OHP. For all other insurances, we can submit billing reimbursement requests on your behalf to your insurance.
What is a superbill and how does insurance reimbursement work?
A superbill is a detailed billing statement that includes diagnosis codes and treatment information required by insurance companies. You submit the superbill to your insurance provider to receive reimbursement for out-of-network mental health benefits. Many PPO plans offer partial reimbursement for out-of-network therapists. Note: Superbills are only available for therapy services in Oregon and Arizona, not for relationship coaching.
Does insurance cover therapy or relationship coaching?
Insurance may cover therapy if you’re in Oregon or Arizona. I’m an in-network provider with PacificSource Health Plans. For other insurance plans, I provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. Relationship coaching is not covered by insurance as it’s a non-clinical service, but may be eligible for HSA/FSA payment.
Why do people choose private pay or coaching over using insurance?
Many people prefer private pay therapy or relationship coaching because insurance requires a mental health diagnosis, grants the insurance company access to your records, and may limit treatment approaches. Private pay and coaching offer complete confidentiality, no diagnosis requirement, and flexibility in methods.
What is the Gottman Method?
The Gottman Method is an evidence-based approach developed from 40+ years of research on relationship success and failure. As a Certified Gottman Therapist, I use this method to help couples and individuals improve communication, resolve conflict, and build stronger relationships whether through clinical therapy or coaching services.
Where do you provide therapy and relationship coaching services?
I provide couples therapy and individual therapy to clients in Oregon and Arizona, where I’m licensed as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I offer relationship coaching worldwide via secure video conferencing to couples and individuals who want to improve their relationships without clinical mental health treatment.
What’s the difference between therapy and relationship coaching?
Therapy is a clinical mental health service for clients in Oregon and Arizona where I’m licensed as a clinical social worker. Relationship coaching is a non-clinical service available worldwide that focuses on skill-building, communication strategies, and relationship goals without treating mental health diagnoses. Both use evidence-based Gottman Method principles.
What days and times are you available for sessions?
I offer therapy and coaching appointments Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend slots.
Do you offer online therapy and virtual relationship coaching?
Yes. I provide online therapy and virtual relationship coaching via secure video conferencing. Research shows that online therapy and telehealth are as effective as in-person sessions. Virtual sessions eliminate travel time, provide greater scheduling flexibility, and allow me to work with clients worldwide for coaching services.
What payment methods do you accept?
I accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. I can also accept HSA/FSA cards.
